After playing at prestigous USC, Ed Hervey signed with Edmonton in April of 1999 and spent his entire eight year career from 1999 to 2006 with Edmonton. Hevery was a speedy, deep threat who was twice named to the Western and All-Canadian All-Stars teams (2001 and 2003). In both his All-Star seasons, Hervey topped the 70 reception and 1000 yards receiving marks. Hervery went to the Grey Cup three times with Edmonton, winning twice in 2003 and 2005 while losing in 2002. Ed Hervery, pretty much bleeds green and gold. Immediatly after retiring as a player due to injuries, Hervey went to work for the Eskimos. Hervery was the team's West Coast scout for two seasons (2007-08) and then became the head scout for four seasons (2009-12). In December, 2012, Hervery was named the General Manager of the Eskimos, replacing Eric Tillman who was fired just prior to the East semi-final against Toronto (Edmonton was playing as a cross-over). Hervey completed one pass in one attempt for 52 yards in 2004.
