Out of Oklahoma (1974-77), Zac Henderson was an All-American in his final season and signed with the Miami Dolphins. Henderson played four seasons in the CFL as a defensive back, two with Hamilton (1978-79) and two with the Toronto Argonauts (1982-83). Inbetween his two CFL stints, Henderson went down to the NFL where he played one season (1980) for the Philadelphia Eagles. In his rookie season with Hamilton in 1978, Henderson had a pair of interceptions, including one he ran back 45 yards for a touchdown. Henderson added three more picks in his second season in 1979, before leaving for the NFL. Henderson's best season in the CFL came in his return year in 1982 with Toronto. Henderson recorded four interceptions and was named both an East and CFL All-Star. Henderson was also the East nomineee for Most Outsandng Defensive player, losing to Edmonton's James Parker. The Argos also lost the Grey Cup to Parker and the Eskimos as it was the fifth consecutive Grey Cup for the Eskimo dynasty. Unfortunately, Henderson missed the game with a knee injury. Henderson finished his career with Toronto in 1983, playing just one game. Besides playing defensive back, Zac Henderson also often acted as the team punter.
