Harald Haselbach is a bit of a rarity in the CFL, being born in the Netherlands. Hasselbach played his high school football though in BC which qualified him as a non-import under CFL rules. Hasselbach played college ball at Washington and was a fifth round pick of the Calgary Stampeders in the 1989 CFL College Draft. Hasselbach played four years with the Stampeders from 1990 to 1993, improving steadily an winning both West and CFL All-Stars in his final season in 1993. Hasselbach had 14 career quartback sacks, including seven in his All-Star year in 1993. Another oddity about Hasselbach's career was he had two blocked kicks in his career both converts. Hasselbach's abilitiy caught the attention of the NFL and he signed with the Denver Brocos after the 1993. Hasselbach went on to playe seven seasons (1994-2000) with Denver and started in Super Bowl XXXIII.
