After playing college ball at the University of California (Berkely), Hardy signed as a free agent with the Chicago Bears of he NFL in 1991. Hardy played two games with Chicago before being released. Next stop was the WLAF (later NFL Europe) and the Barcelona Dragons in1992. That go Hardy another shot in the NL withe Cleveland in 1992, but he was released. Ottawa signed Hardy for the 1993 season, but he was released in July aftger playing just one regualr season game. Toronto signed Hardy in October of 1993 and he played four games with the Argos.
