Ted Greves was a territorial protection pick of the Hamilton Tiger Cats in the 1974 CFL Draft. Greves plays ten games with Hamilton in 1974, but is put on waivers and then released after ten games In December of 1974 he signs a two year contract with Hamilton calling for $10,000 a year. However, he later signed a pro lacrosse deal for more money and never returned to the Tiger Cats or football citing the low pay and his poor treatment by the Tiger-Cats. Greves captained the Canadian team to the world field lacrosse championship of 1978. In 1983 Greves was inducted into the Ithaca Hall of Fame for his actions as their football quarterback from 1971-1973. For 25 years Greves worked with for Nanaimo Fire and Rescue and retired as a captain. :Note: In some sources, Greves is listed as George Greves.
