After playing at Kent State, Dan Goodspeed signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers as a free agent for the 2005 season. Goodspeed played four seasons in Winnpeg (2005-08), winning East and CFL All-Star selections in both 2007 and 2008. Goodspeed was traded to Hamilton for the 2009 season and promptl ywon his third East and CFL all-star recognitions. As a free agent, Goodspead signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders and played two seasons for the green and white (2010-2011). Goodspeed was technically with the Riders in 2012, but spent the entire season on the 9 game injured list. Goodspeed made it to two Grey Cups, but both unfortunately were losess. With Winnipeg, he lostg to Saskatchewan in 2007 and then while playhing with the Riders in 2010, lost to Montreal.
