Steve Glenn played his college football at the University of Ottawa (1990-94) where he was an outstanding linebacker and also learned to be a long snapper - a talent that would serve him in good stead in his professional career. Glenn was the Gee-Gees captain for his final three years (1992-94) and was named the team's MVP and top defensive player in 1992. Glenn was also named to the Quebec University All-Star team three times, in 1991, 1992 and 1994. Glenn signed as a free agent with the reborn Montreal Alouettes in 1996 and was released during training camp, but was resigned on August 10, 1996. Glenn was released by the Als after playing one game, but he was signed by the BC Lions in September where he finished the season. Glenn remained with the Lions for two more seasons (1997 and 1998) before being released in November of 1998. The Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed Glenn in February of 1999 and Glenn played all 54 regular season games for the Bombers over the 1999 to 2001 seasons. Glenn was released by the Bombers in May of 2001 and signed with his hometown team, the expansion Ottawa Renegades where he played three seasons. Glenn finished his career with Saskatchewan in 2005. Glenn's natural position was as a linebacker, but durhing his career he saw action mainly on special teams and was highly prized for his long snapping ability. Glenn's grandfather was Tom Glenn who played in the IRFU (which would become the East division of the CFL) in the 1930 and 40s.
