Geter was signed as a free agent by the expansion Los Vegas Posse in August of 1994. After the Posse folded, Geter was drafted in the second round of the dispersal by the Ottawa Rough Riders. Geter played two seasons with Ottawa before becoming a free agent in February of 1997.
