Johnny Gardiner started his college career at the University ofMinnesota before his education and football career were interrupted byWorld War II. After serving with great distinction and earning numerous medals, Gardiner returned to complete his education at Montana State where heobtained a commerce degree. Gardiner layed one season as a quarterback with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 1949. Folowing his football career, Gardiner had a longand successful career in business.

Johnny Gardiner passed away on Aprl 1, 2015 at theage of 92.
