Ralph Galloway

Ralph Galloway played his college ball at Southern Illinois, and joined the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 1969.  Galloway played his entire 11 year career with Saskatchewan, winning five West All-Stars (1973 - 1977 inclusive) and two CFL All-Stars (1976 and 1977) at Offensive Guard.  Galloway was a key part of the Rider offensive line that opened holes for George Reed and provided the pass protection for Ron Lancaster.  Galloway was part of a famous story told by Rider legend Ron Lancaster on himslef.  In one game in 1976, Lancaster lined up behind the guard by mistake, instead of center Larry Bird.  The poor guard was Ralph Galloway.  After his playing career was over, Galloway coached junior and high-school football at Auburn, Washington.  One of his star players was his son, linebacker Tim Galloway who went on to play university ball with Washington.
