A BC native, Luke Fritz attended Eastern Washington and was a first round pick (7th overall) of the Montreal Alouettes in the 2001 CFL College Draft. The offensive lineman played seven seasons with the Als (2002-08), and then signed as a free agent with Winnipeg for 2009 where he played t wo seasons for the Bombers. Fritz played in four Grey Cups with the Alouettes, winning once in 2002, and losing three times in 2003, 2005 and 2006.
