Joe Forzni played junior football in calgary before going on to Utah State. Forzani impressed enough to be drafted in the 17th round of the 1968 NFL draft bythe Philadelphia Eagles. Forzani jined the Calgary in 1968 and played eight seasons until 1975 with the Stamps. Forzani played a total of 122 games at linebacker and defensive end for Calgary, winning a West All-Star in his final season in 1975. Forzni also got his only career toudhdown in 1975 on a 40 yard interception return. Forzani had a total of 13 career pass interceptions and 10 fumble recoveries. For zani played in three Grey Cups with Calgary, losing in 1968 to Otttawa, losing to Montreal in 1970 and finally coming up on the winning side in 1971 against Toronto.
