From the University of Auburn, Ted Foret was drafted in the 15th round of the 1959 NFL college draft. Foret came North to the CFL in 1960, to join the Montreal Alouettes. Foret played just one game for the Larks before being traded to Calgary for linebacker Bob O'Neil. Foret played eight games for Calgary in 1960 and left the Stampeders before the 1961 season started to take a job in New Orleans.
