Rudy Florio was a product of the football program at Youngstown State and played six seasons in the CFL (1973-78) as a blocking fullback, special teams player and sometimes kick returner. Florio started his career in Montreal in 1973, playing four seasons for the Alouettes (1973-76). Florio completed his CFL career with two years in BC (1977-78). Florio played in two Grey Cups while with Montreal, winning one in 1974 against Edmonton, and losing one to the same Eskimos in 1975. Florio didn't just play football at Youngstown, but also got a degree in Business Administration that would come in handy. While still playing football, Florio was already involved in his own business, RWF Marketing which specialized in licensed sports wear. After his career as a player ended, Florio did some part time coaching with the Uniersity of Guelp where he won a Vanier Cup to go with his Grey Cup ring. Starting with 1986, Florio became involved with adult education and runs his own school Liason College, dealing with the culinary arts. Rudy Florio at the Ontario Associaton of Career Colleges
