Ferrughelli played three a part seasons with Montreal from 1973 to 1976, finishing his CFL career with Edmonton in 1976. Ferrughelli played in just 6 games in his rookie season in Montreal, running for 364 yards and a very good 5.4 yard average. In 1974, Ferrughelli took over the number one running back spot with the Als and led the East in rushing with 1134 yards and catching 39 passes for 258 yardsd. Ferrughelli was named to the East All-Star team in 1974. Ferrughelli fell to third in rushing in the East in 1975 with 893 yards, but Ferrughelli was named the Grey Cup MVP despite Montreal losing to Edmonton that year. Ironically, Ferrughelli was then traded the following year to Edmonton for Canadian defensive back John Beaton. In 10 games with the two clubs, Ferrughelli had only 381 yards rushng, but did catch 33 passes. Ferrughelli finished with a career total of 2763 yards. Ferrughelli Traded Out West - August 18, 1976
