Don Estes played at Louisiana State (1960-62) and was a second round draft pick in the 1963 AFL College Draft by the Houston Oilers. Estes joined the Ottawa Rough Riders in 1963 and remained with Ottawa in 1964. Estes moved on to Montreal for 1965. In 1966, Estes joined the San Diego Chargers of the AFL.
