After playing college ball at Florida A&M, Eason played one year in the NFL (1968) with the Oakland Raiders, appearing in three games. Eason played one game with the BC Lions in 1969, and then returned to the CFL in 1972 with Montreal. After retiring as a player, Eason went back to school and has had a long successful career in coaching and administration in the US college football ranks. Eason originally had Bachelors and Masters degrees from Florida A&M, and then added a PhD from Florida State in Educational Administration in 1987. Among Eason's coaching stops was 12 years (1981-1992) as receivers coatch at Florida State and four years as offensive coordinator and receivers coach at South Carolina (1995-98). In 2001, Eason joined the coaching staff for the Georgia Bulldogs and moved up to become Director of Football Operations. Bio of John Eamon from University of Georgia
