Drafted in the first round (ninth overall) by Toronto in the 1997 CFL college draft. Toronto released DuBuc in November of 1997 and he was then signed in February of 1998 by Winnipeg and played two seasons for he Bombers. Initially drafted as a running back, DuBuc was used as a slot back by Winnipeg.
