Delaney was signed by the Birmingham Barracudas in May of 1995. Afte the demise of the American based teams, Delaney was selected in the eight round (70th overall) by Edmonton in the dispersal draft. Edmonton released Delaney on June 23, but resigned him in September of 1996.
