Wilie Crafts was a guard / tackle out of Texas A&i (now Texas A&M - Kingsville). Crafts was drafted in the 15th round of the AFL college draft by the Denver Broncos. Crafts woud have tryouts with the Broncos and the Minnesota Vikings, but did not play any regular season NFL gems. in 1961. Crafts played one game for the Edmonton Eskimos in 1961. Following his football playing days, Crafts coached football in Teas from 1964 to 1998. Crafts is a member of the Texas A&M Sports Halll of Fame, Hispanic Sports Hall of Fame and the Rio Grande Valley Sports Hall of Fame.. Willie Crafts passed away on January 20, 2014.
