Jim Coode joined the Ottawa Rough Riders in 1974 after playing his college ball at Michigan. Coode , played one game in that initial season, but remained with Ottawa through the end of the 1980 season. Coode won two East All-Stars at Offensive Tackle (1976 and 1978) and one CFL All-Star in 1978. 1978 was a banner season for Coode, as he was named the Outstanding Offensive Lineman in the CFL.
