Clemons originally signed with Winnipeg as a free agent in May of 1994. He played seven games for the Bombers in his rookie season and was traded to Ottawa in August of 1995. Winnipeg resigned Clemons in January of 1996 and had a good season with Winnipeg, recording six sacks and 36 defensive tackles in 14 games. Clemons became a free agent in February of 1997.
