Coming out of Arkansas State, Howard Cissell played three years for the Montreal Alouettes from 1960 to 1962. Cissell played mainly defensive back, but also took the odd turn on offense iwth the Larks. In his rookie season Cissell had only 7 carries, but added 19 pass receptions and intercepted 6 passes on defence. In 1993, Cissell was selected to the Arkansas Stgate Athletic Hall of Fame.
