A native of Ansonia, CT, Cicia played his college ball at Wake Forest. Cicia was an all-star guard at college, but was forced to leave school over a cheating scandal. Cicia joined the Montreal Alouettes in 1950, and was an East All-Star at guard in his rookies season (there were no CFL All-Stars until 1962). Cicia played six seasons with the Als from 1950 to 1955, winning two more East All-Stars in 1951 and 1954. Ray Cicia passed away on August 22, 1996.
