Bryan Chiu

The CFL has tended to have one outstanding and dominant center in each generation.  Going back in recent history, you can trace the title from players like Ted Urness to Al Wilson to Rod Connop.  Brian Chiu has been the successor to the title and the dominant center in the CFL in the first decade of the 21st century.  Chiu was a second round draft pick of Montreal in the 1997 CFL draft.  Like many young offensive linemen, it took him a couple of years to make his mark, but Chiu went on a roll with the 2000 season.  Chiu ran off seven straight East division All-Stars from 2000 to 2006 and won CFL All-Star Honours in each of those years except 2006.  After a year off in 2007, Chiu bounced back in 2008 to win East and CFL All-Star honours again and was an East All-Star in 2009.  Chiu was also named the Outstanding Offensive Lineman in 2002.  As a member of the powerful Alouette team for the decade, Chiu has been to six Grey Cups, winning in two of them in 2002 and 2009.
