Eric Carter

Over an eleven year span from 1994 to 2004, Eric Carter was one of the top cornerbacks in the CFL.  Carter signed as a free agent with Hamilton in May, 1994 and while he saw little action in his rookie season other than special teams, he had 10 interceptions in 1995, including one he ran back 102 yards for a touchdown.  Carter's performance in 1995 won him not only North and CFL All-Stars, but a shot at the NFL as he signed as a free agent with San Francisco.  The 49ers released Carter, bu the then spent all of 1996 on the practice roster of the New Orleans Saints before being released in May of 1997.  Carter rejoined the Tiger-Cats for 1997 and 1998, winning his second divisioinal and CFL All-Star selections in 1998.  A free agent after the 1998 season, Carter signed with the BC Lions where he played five seasons (1999-2003).  In those five seasons, Carter won four more division All-Stars (1999, 2000, 2002 and 2003) to run his total to six divisional All-Stars and he also captured his third CFL All-Star in 2003.  After the 2003 season, Carter signed as a free agent with Winnipeg where he played his final year.  Carter finished his career with 47 interceptions, five of which he took back for touchdowns.
