Larry Cardonick

Larry Cardonick was from the Philadelphia area and played college ball at Temple. In 1954, he was the Owls' MVP and was All-Eastern that year. The Baltimore Colts and Philadelphia Eagles showed interest in him, but did not make him an offer, so he went to Canada, playing for Sarnia. Cardonick played three years for Sarnia in the ORFU from 1955-57.

After football, he returned to the Philadelphia area, becoming a special education teacher in Cherry Hill, NJ for 40 years. He was enshrined in the Philadelphia Jewish Sports Hall of Fame and the Pennsylvania State Hall of Fame.

Larry Cardonick died February 8, 2013 in Voorhees NJ at the age of 80.
