Jim Caine was a halfback (offensive and deensive) who played with the Hamilton Tigers in 1949. That was one of the years that the Tigers were in "exile" from the Big Four and playing in the Ontario Rugby Football Union (ORFU). In 1950, Caine joined the Windsor team in the ORFU and partway through the season at the age of 26, became the coach of the team.
