A wide receiver, Alfonzo Browning played university football and Kentucky. Browning spent a couple of seasons (1994-95) on the practice roster of the San Francisco 49ers of the NFL. In 1996, Browning joined the Washington Redskins and was allocated to the Barcelona Dragons in the Worldd Leage. Browning signed with Montreal in 1997, but was only on their practice roster. Montreal resigned Browning in January of 1999 as a free agent. Browning played two seasons in Montreal (1999-2000), playing in 29 games and making 60 catches. Browning retired in January of 2001j, but came out of retirement to sign with the Toronto Argonauts in May of 2001.
