Brown originally signe as a free agent with Saskatchewan in February of 1996. He appeared in 3 games for the Riders before being released on September 6. Calgary signed him on September 11, and he finished the season with the Stamps appearing in 6 games for them. Brown played 15 games with Calgary in 1997, before being released late in the season. He wsigned as a free agent with Saskatchewan in 1998 and had his best season with 7 sacks in 14 games.
