Charlie Brandon played one game for Winnipeg in 1967. He returned to the CFL in 1972 with Ottawa after spending some time with the Norfolk Neptunes of the Continental Football League. Brandon played seven years with Ottawa from 1972 to 1978. He played mainly offensive line, but also saw action on defense. In 1973, Brandon was named the Oustanding Player in the Grey Cup game that Ottawa won over Edmonton 22-18, playing defensive end. In 1978, Brandon was named to the East All-Star team as an offensive guard.
