Daave Bowen was born in Montreal, played junior football with the N.D.G Maple Leafs, and then moved up to play two years with the Montreal Alouettes. Bowen dressed for all 14 games in 1964, seeing a bit of action on offence where he had only 5 carries, but also caught 9 passes. Bowen was among the final cuts from the team in both 1965 and 1966, though he did rejoin the team later in 1966 and drressed for three games. Following his retirement from football, Bowen joined an advertising firm as an account executive. Bowen also helped to coach his old N.D.G. junior team.
