National linebacker Nicolas Boulay signs two-year contract extension

The Montreal Alouettes announced on Friday that the club has signed national linebacker Nicolas Boulay to a two-year contract extension.
Boulay (6'0", 200 lbs.) completed the 2014 season with 13 special teams tackles, good for third place on the team. After two seasons in which he played every game, he has made 21 special teams tackles. The 25-year old also recovered a fumble, which he returned for 10 yards on August 8, against the Edmonton Eskimos.
"Nicolas continues to impro ve and has quickly risen to one of our elite special teamers. He is a relentless hard worker on and off the field representing the Alouettes," said General Manager, Jim Popp.
The former product of the Université de Sherbrooke Vert & Or is also heavily involved in the Alouettes community initiatives, he who partakes in the Together at School program. He also helps to put smiles on kids faces during hospital visits as well as helping out with the annual blood drive and the Alouettes Junior Camps. The Magog, Qc native registered 58.5 tackles and two sacks in his last season in the University ranks in 2012.
