Out of Louisiana State, Billy Joe Booth was a dominating defensive end for nine years with the Ottawa Rough Riders from 1962 to 1970. Booth won fur East Division All-Star honours (1963, 1964, 1966 and 1969) as well as one CFL All-Star in 1969. Unfortunately, there were no tackle or quarterback sack stats kept during the years Booth played, but he did record seven fumble recoveries and one interception in his career. Booth was also a very durable player, missing only three games in his nine year career. Booth won two Grey Cups with Ottawa in 1968 and 1969, while losing one in 1966. Billy Joe Booth was killed in a plane crash in Ontario on June 30, 1972. Wikipedia Article on Billy Joe Booth
