John Bonk

John Bonk signed as a free agent with Hamilton in February of 1972.  As a rookie in 1972, Bonk dressed for just one game, and then after playing 10 games in 1973, he was traded to Winnipeg for DB Pete Ribbins.  Bonk finished his distinguished career with the Blue Bombers, playing another 12 seasons.  In those twelve years, Bonk won four West and four CFL All-Star honours in 1982, 1983, 1984 and 1985.  Bonk was also named the CFL's Outstandng Offensive Lineman in 1984.  Bonk was an iron-man for hte Bombers, playing every game in 11 consecutive seasons from 1974 to 1984.  John Bonk was elected to the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 2008.
