Boerigter joined Calgary in 2000 and had an impressive rookie season with 63 catches for 1097 yards. His numbers were down a bit in 2001 with 48 catgches for 931 yards, but he was named a West All-Star. After the 2001 season, Boerigter signed as a free agent in the NFL. Boerigter returned to the CFL in 2007 with Calgary, but didn't have the success he had before leaving. Calgary had three strong import receivers in addition to Boerigter (Jermaine Copeland, Nic Lewis and Ken Yon Rambo), and there wasn't enough playing time to go around. Boerigter was released and signed with Toronto for the remainder of the 2007 season. Toronto released Boerigter after the 2007 season.
