Bruce Boa had a one year CFL career, but went on to have a much longer career as an actor. Boa played college football at Western Ontario and the 1952 season with the Calgary Stampeders. Among Boa's film credits are The Empite Strikes Back as a rebel General, The Omen, Superman and Full Metal Jacket. On the small screen, Boa played an American on Fawlty Towers (see link below). Bruce Boa passed away on April 17, 2004.
