Rick Black

From Mount Allison University, Rick Black played six seasons for the Ottawa Roug Riders. Black was mainly a fullbakc, but he was also the team's punter in his rookie season and filled in as a plackicker in emergancies.  Aswell, Black saw extensive actiion as a punt returner, maybe the toughest position to play in an era without blocking on punt returns.

Black saw increasing use on offence during his first three seasons, cluminating with his career best year in 1965. In that year, Black rushed for 480 yards which was sixth best in the East. Black also had 354 yards on punt returns, third best in the league.

Black played in two Grey Cups, losing to Saskatchewan in 1966 and winning in his final year in 1968 over Calgary.
