Marv Bean first tried out for the Ottawa Rough Rides in 1955 was sent back to junior to get some more experience. Bean played a few games for Ottawa in 1956 and continued on with Ottawa until 1964.

Note: Bevan was in the Ottawa training camp with Ottawa in 1959, but doesn't seem to have played any regular season games (there are no official game participation stats until 1960 in the East). One Kitchener-Waterloo program from 1959 listed Bevan (no first name) which was probably Marm as his brother Ed was still playing in Hamilton, including the 1959 Grey Cup game.
