Beamer was a star fullback for the BC Lions from 1959 to 1963, though he was injured very early in 1959, and his career really didn't get started until 1960. Beamer led the West in rushing in 1962 with 1161 yards and was named a West All-Star in both 1962 and 1963. Beamer finished with a career total of 3662 yards rushing.
