Signed by the Miami Dolphins of the NFL in May, 1988 and released in August, 1988. Beals was picked up on waivers by the Philadelphia Eagles. Beals became a free agent in April of 1989 and picked up by the Wasihington Redskins, but was released after the pre-season. Calgary signed Beals as a free agent in April, 1990 and he played three season for the Stampeders (1990-92) with his best season being 1991 with a very good 64 catches for 943 yards. Beals was released by Calgary in August, 1992. After sitting out 1993, Beals signed with Baltimore in April, 1994.
