Pat Batten attended a small university called Hardin-Simmons, but was still a third round draft pick of the Detroit Lions of th eNFL in 1964. Batten played 3 games for the Detroit Lions in 1964, and then Joined Montreal in 1965 for eight games. Batten was a running back and kicker. After leaving the Alouettes, Batten played for the Orlando Panthers of the Continental Football League under former Als coach Perry Moss in 1966.
