Bob BartholomewBorn in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, Bartholomew went on to play his college ball with Wake Forest. Bartholomew was a three time Atlantic Coast Conference All-Star at tackle while at Wake Forest. In 1954, Bartholomew was the team captain and named an All-American. The Cleveland Browns of the NFL drafted Bartholomew in the 30th round of the 1956 NFL College Draft. Bartholomew joined the Montreal Alouettes in 1956, but his pro career was cut short due to a knee injury and he only played two games. Bartholomew returned to Wake Forest in 1969, and spent 16 years as the Executive Director of the Deacon Club. Bartholomew was elected to the North Carolina and North Carolina University Hall of Fame in 2006. Bob Bartholomew passed away on April 19, 1984.
