Bill Banks

Bill Banks played his college ball at Penn State and had a tryout with the Washington Redskins of the NFL before joining Hamilton in 1979.  Banks was traded to Ottawa after the 1979 along with fullback Jim Reid as Ottawa needed a middle linebacker to replace Ray Nettles who had been traded to Calgary.  Banks continued his three team tour of the East in 1981, playing two games with Montreal.  Banks had the most success with Ottawa in 1980, recording three fumble recoveries and a pass interception.
