Ballard signed with Toronto in May of 1999, dressing in all 18 games as a backup QB. He was released in June of 1997, and signed by Saskatchewan in July. Ballard was released by the Riders in November of 2000, and didn't play in the CFL in 20001. Toronto resigned Ballard in June of 2002 and he was released in November of 2002.
