Ray Baillie started his senior / pro football career with the Kitchener-Waterloo Dutchmen and the Sarnia Imperials of the ORFU (Ontario Rugby Football Union) in 1953. From there, the guard . tackle went on to play nine seasons in the CFL from 1954 to 1965. Baillie played , five with Montreal, two with Edmonton and two with Calgary. Ray Baillie came from an athletic family, his twin brother Charles also played for the Montreal Alouettes, and his brother Dave was an Olympic swimmer. Besides playing football, Baillie was a long time highschool History teacher and an author of three books on immigration in Canada. Baillie also coached highschool football and served as an assistant coach with the Universityof McGill.
