Roman Anderson had tryouts with Minnesota, Cleveland and Cincinnati of the NFL in 1993, before signing as a free agent with the Sacremento in April of 1994. Anderson had a decent year in 1994 with Sacremento, but hten had an outstanding year with the San Antonio Texans in 1995 when the franchise shifted to Texas. Anderson clicked on 56 of 65 fieldgoal attempts for an 86.2% succes rate and 235 points to lead the CFL in scoring. Anderson was also named a South and CFL All-Star in 1995. After the folding of the U.S. based teams following the 1995 season, Anderson became a gree agent.
