Roger Anderson was born in Bedford, Virgiania and attended Virginia Union where is a member of their Sports Hall of Fame. From there, Anderson went on to play two seasons for the New York Giants of the NFL (1964 and 1965). Anderson was selected by the Atlanta Falcons in the expansion draft and played in 5 exhibtion games for the Falcons before quitting over the unsettled situation and joining the Alouettes. Anderson played both offensive and defensive tackle while with the Giants and the Alouettes. Joining Montreal midway through the 1966 season, Anderson played seven games for the Als. Anderson returned to the NFL and the Giants for two more seasons in 1967 and 1968.
