Out of the University of South Dakota, Dwight Anderson signed as agent with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 2007. After one season in Hamilton, Anderson moved to Calgary as a free agent for 2008. Anderson played three seasons in Calgary (2008-2010), developing into one of the best cornerbacks in the league. Anderson won West Division all-Star honours in 2009 and 2010 and was named a CFL All-Star in 2010. A free agent again, Anderson signed with the Montreal Alouettes for 2011. Anderson's first year in Montreal was not a memorable one as he seemed to get in trouble over unnecessary penalties and discipline issues before an injury ended his season after just ten games. Anderson signed as a free agent with Saskatchewan in February, 2013.
