Albert played one year in the CFL, 1953 with the Calgary Stampeders. He finished second in the West in passing behind the great Jack Jacobs of Winnipeg in passes attempted, passes completed and yards. He actually threw one more TD pass than Jabos (12 to 11), but he also threw more interceptions.
